I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After HS I attended Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste Marie, MI where I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Fire Science and an Associates Degree in Paramedic Technology.
While at University, I began working as an EMT-B with Sugar Island EMS. Shortly after graduation from LSSU I landed my current job in Suttons Bay and I've been here ever since.
In September of 2018, I married my beautiful wife, Skyler. We currently live in Long Lake Twp.
While my career is short, I have had some opportunities to witness the benefits of having someone to talk to when things are not looking bright. For the last 10 years I have had the opportunity to volunteer some of my off time with Great Lakes Burn Camp. Witnessing counselors interacting with children that are in need of someone to talk to, has been inspiring.
Another humbling experience with Mental Health was watching a Peer Support team interact with my Dad's fire department in Kalamazoo following the death of their Fire Chief in the Line of Duty. Witnessing a well organized and professional approach to counseling Fire and EMS professionals, truly sparked my interest.
If there is anything I can do for any one of you, PLEASE feel free to reach out. I am more than willing to talk with anyone at anytime. If I am not the right resource, I will try my best to steer you in the right direction, for whatever help is needed.
